USDA Change to Age Restriction on Cattle & Bison.
The US Department of Agriculture has issued a final rule that will allow Canadian feeders and ranchers to ship to US buyers cattle and bison born on or after March 1, 1999. Shipment of meat from the older animals will also be allowed. The final rule becomes effective Nov. 19, 2007. For more details, visit the USDA website.
