| Parts
10 and 11 of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Act express the
general policy and intent of the Legislative Assembly with
respect to royalties and production taxes on oil and gas.

| Parts
of the Act give the lieutenant Governor in Council authority
to prescribe rates and other details by regulation. These
are set out in the Petroleum and Natural Gas Royalty and Freehold
Production Tax Regulation. Please note that this is an unofficial
