MINE RESCUE COMPETITION HONES SAFETY SKILLS

B.C.’s mining industry is seeing some of the strongest growth and investment in decades, creating jobs and opportunities for British Columbians. Minister of State for Mining Bill Bennett and Prince George North MLA Pat Bell recently toured Finning’s Prince George Operation with Branch Operations Manager Darcy Frankforth. Finning employs more than 1,100 people at 23 operations throughout the province. In the last two years, the company has added more than 100 employees to its B.C. mining support team located at centres in Elk Valley, the Kamloops area and across northern B.C.
