HIGHLAND VALLEY COPPER - Looking down after a snowfall on the open pit mine at Highland Valley Copper's main pit. Teck Cominco recently announced the approval of a 5-year mine extension plan, shifting the mine closure date from late 2008 to the third quarter of 2013. The mine has approximately 296 million tonnes of reserves grading 0.42% copper.
