What do carp, bullfrogs and Eurasian water
milfoil have in common?
None of these species belong in British Columbia and
are therefore considered invasive species. They have
caused
havoc where they don't belong. The cost of containing
zebra mussels, an invasive species, in the Great Lakes
may soon reach $5 billion annually. Trying to contain
invaders once they are here is labour intensive, expensive
and not always possible. Our best strategy is education:
