Integrated
Pest Management Program
The Ministry
of Environment administers the British Columbia Integrated
Pest Management Act and Regulations, which:
- regulates
the sale, use and handling of pesticides in the province; and
- promotes an
Integrated Pest Management approach to managing pests.

The Ministry
has issued Draft
Guidelines for First Nations Consultation for immediate
use by:
- licence holders
for specified pesticide uses
- proponents
who require or hold a confirmation to a pesticide use notice
- applicants
for pesticide use permits
A process for
review of the draft guidelines by First Nations and industry
stakeholders is proposed.

To facilitate
the circulation of further information, an e-mail service
('listserve'), called "IPM e-Link" has been established
and will be maintained by the ministry. This listserve will
be used to notify subscribers when new information is posted
on the ministry website. If you wish to receive such notices,

The mailing list name ends with "l" (a lower case
L), not -"1" (the numeral one). The lower case "L" stands
