Care BenefitChild Care Update for the School Year

Minister of State for Child Care Linda Reid has issued a letter to child care providers and parents indicating the province will maintain increases to subsidy and will endeavour to maintain all other child care services to the end of the current school year. To read more click here.

Moving Forward on Early Learning & Child Care - September 29, 2005

An agreement was signed between the federal and provincial governments regarding funding for early learning and child care for British Columbia.

Child Care Program Enhancements - September 9, 2005

The BC Child Care Subsidy Program has increased rates and income thresholds for families with children under six in regulated care. Changes to the program increase the number of families receiving assistance. In addition, increases have been made to the Child Care Operating Funding Program and to the Capital Funding Program.
