Getting Involved with Your School
Getting Involved with Your School

B.C. parents have more school choice and information and more ways to get involved in their children's education than ever before. For example, "Open Boundaries" mean students can now attend any school in the province, regardless of where they live, as long as space permits. Improved access to school and district performance information and a new School Profile Tool mean parents also have more ways to become informed about B.C. schools. Finally, new legislation gives parents the right to volunteer at B.C. schools and parental advisory bodies give them a voice in education decision-making at the district level.
