Two-Year Tax Holiday For New Small Businesses

The Two-Year Tax Holiday for New Small Businesses program has expired.

This program was established in 1996 to reduce British Columbia Corporate Income Tax for new small businesses for their first two years of operations.

These Canadian-controlled private corporations (CCPC’s) must have been incorporated after April 30, 1996 and before April 1, 2001 to be eligible, in their first two taxation years, to deduct the British Columbia tax payable at the small business rate of corporate income tax.
