The Private
Investigators and Security Agencies Act (the Act) regulates
six areas of private security:
While a great
deal of the security industry is captured by the Act there are segments
of the security industry that are currently not regulated. Licensees
are accountable to the Registrar. There is a complaints
process for individuals or organizations that have concerns
about the conduct of a member of the security industry.
