Aboriginal Business and Entrepreneurship Strategy

Supported by the Ministry of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation and the Department of Western Diversification, the Aboriginal Business and Entrepreneurship Strategy (Aboriginal BEST) provides youth with skills training and helps them to create their own jobs.

The program offers training that helps participants identify business opportunities and determine their feasibility. Participants conduct market research, write business plans, and explore financing options. They learn how to make money through self-employment.

Aboriginal BEST is for Aboriginal and Métis youth, status or not, between the ages of 18 and 35, who are interested in becoming self-employed or starting their own business. It is for both those who have a solid idea and want to see it happen, and for those who have an interest in business but no specific idea as yet.

It's FREE. There is no charge for the 12 training sessions.
