The Mackenzie Forest District has:
- Total area of more than 6.1 million hectares.
- Annual harvest of approximately 3.0 million cubic metres.
- 1600 kilometres of Forest Service roads and 443 drainage structures including bridges
and large culverts.
- More than 3.05 million hectares of productive forest land.
- More than 3.07 million hectares of non-productive forest land.
- A demonstration forest, situated between the Mackenzie Junction and the town site with
eight interpretative trails enabling the public to learn more about the forests while
enjoying the outdoors.
- Trails such as Kimta Trail, Nation Falls Trail and the Canty Lake/Selwyn Trail.
