Forest Health Situation
in Kootenay Lake Forest District
The
mountain pine beetle and Douglas-fir beetle are the two most
destructive agents currently affecting the Kootenay Lake TSA. The
Douglas-fir beetle activity is found mainly in the areas surrounding
Kootenay Lake and the mountain pine beetle activity is found mainly in the
south-eastern section of the district. The following map
