Kispiox
Timber Supply Area
The Kispiox TSA, located in north–central B.C., covers 1.22 million hectares. The TSA
includes the community of Hazelton.
The current allowable annual cut for the Kispiox TSA was set at
977,000 cubic metres, effective January 1, 2003.
Current Timber Supply Review
The third timber supply review (TSR 3) was initiated in 2005.
A key component of the TSR is the preparation of a timber supply
analysis. Under the new
Defined Forest Area Management (DFAM) initiative, DFAM participants
in the TSA will collectively be responsible for completing the Kispiox
TSA timber supply analysis.
