Free Use Permits for Firewood or Christmas Trees |
To qualify for a Free Use Permit, you must not own or occupy land where there is sufficient timber that is reasonably accessible for the purposes specified, and be for one of the following purposes.
1. | A person who requires a Christmas tree for their personal use and not for sale to others. You may take up to three (3) Christmas trees |
2. | A person who requires Firewood for their personal domestic purposes and not for sale to others. You may take up to 20m3. This is approximately equivalent to 5 cords or 10 half ton pick-up truck loads of wood. |
To use this on-line application process, you must:
Have a personal e-mail address, or have access to an e-mail address. You can get free e-mail accounts from providers such as Hotmail or Yahoo |
The permit, in this process, will be sent to that e-mail address for viewing and printing.
