Canada-B.C. Infrastructure Program
The Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund replaces the Canada-British
Columbia Infrastructure Program (CBCIP) which launched in 2001.
The application process for the Canada-B.C. Infrastructure Program ended
in 2005 with the federal and provincial government committed to funding
more than 300 infrastructure projects across B.C. worth more than $900
million.
Nearly $532 million in combined federal and provincial funding is being
invested in these projects which are helping to improve drinking water and
wastewater systems, develop energy efficient buildings and improve community
infrastructure.
