Saving Energy

Upgrading your furnace to a high efficiency ENERGY STAR qualified model with a high efficiency variable speed motor is the greatest improvement you can make to lower your heating costs and save energy. You could save over 30% annually on your heating costs compared to an old standard efficiency furnace.

ENERGY STAR qualified furnaces and boilers are exempt from PST. Your heating contractor will no longer charge you PST on this equipment.

SaskEnergy Network Members offer financing for ENERGY STAR qualified furnaces and other natural gas appliances.

Visit our tips section for more low-cost or no-cost tips. Don't forget to watch the how-to videos featuring Shell Busey.

Shell demonstrates just how easy it is to:

1. Change a furnace filter;

2. Apply shrink film to windows;

3. Install a Water Wizard™;

4. Install weather-stripping;

5. Apply caulking to windows & doors;

6. Install a low-flow showerhead.
