Helps Aboriginal victims of crime and their families by providing services such as information, support and referral.
- Amusement Ride Safety
Amusement ride safety initiatives establish and enforce technical safety standards to minimize the potential hazards associated with the transportation and movement of people by complex electrical and mechanical equipment. Amusement ride devices are in widespread operation throughout the province at fairs and exhibitions during the summer months.
- Birth Certificates
A birth certificate is an important personal document that is often required to apply for other forms of identification, such as social insurance numbers or health cards.
- Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety
Provides public protection through the establishment and enforcement of technical safety standards related to the manufacture, installation, and operation of complex pressure equipment in widespread use in all commercial, industrial and institutional sectors within the province.
- Building Standards
Saskatchewan adopts the National Building Code of Canada (NBC) as the basis for Saskatchewan's building and accessibility standards. These standards address health, safety, accessibility for persons with disabilities and fire and structural protection of buildings. The standards apply to major construction of new buildings and renovation, addition, moving, demolition, and occupancy of existing buildings throughout the province.

- Consumer Protection
The Consumer Protection Branch of Saskatchewan Justice assists the public to deal with problems they encounter in the marketplace and acts directly for those who are unable to protect themselves.
- Driver Licence Abstract
To insure your vehicle in another jurisdiction, you will likely have to provide proof of your driving history and of vehicles that have been registered and insured in your name. Saskatchewan provides this information through a driver abstract.
- Electrical Licensing
Electrical Licensing programs provide public protection from potential hazards associated with electrical installations. These programs apply to contractors, employers, and individuals who provide electrical installation services.
- Elevator Safety
Elevator safety initiatives establish and enforce technical safety standards to minimize the potential hazards associated with the transportation and movement of people by complex electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Family Law Information Centre
Provides resources and information to the public in the area of child support and family law. Assists people who wish to represent themselves in court complete a self help variation kit.
- Family Violence Services
Violence and abuse against anyone are unacceptable. Family violence is the abuse of one family member by another. Women, men and children can all be victims of family violence. The Government of Saskatchewan is working in partnership with communities, families and individuals to foster family relationships free of violence and abuse.
- Freelaw Service
Freelaw® is free access to up-to-date electronic versions of all Government of Saskatchewan Acts and Regulations, The Saskatchewan Gazette , and other legislative publications.
- Gas Licensing
Gas Licensing programs apply to contractors, employers, and individuals who provide gas installation services. These programs provide public protection from potential hazards associated with gas installations.
- Home Quarter Protection
In Saskatchewan, since 1943, foreclosure of a home quarter cannot be completed except under special circumstances. The Farm Land Security Board is responsible for administering Home Quarter Protection and maintains a database of all mortgages excluded from Home Quarter Protection.
- Justice of the Peace
Justices of the peace are citizens experienced in law enforcement or court administration, but who are not lawyers. They are appointed by the provincial government to provide front-line services to police and Crown Prosecutors.
- Land Registry
Operated by the Information Services Corporation, the Land Registry is the public registry of ownership of land and interests in land, such as leases or mortgages. The Land Registry issues title to land and registers transactions affecting title, including changes of ownership and registration of interests against land.
- Maintenance Enforcement
The Maintenance Enforcement Office helps collect maintenance or support payments ordered by the court or agreed to by two parties. The office registers support orders and agreements and records and monitors payments. If necessary, the Office also enforces the payment of court orders or agreements for maintenance.
- Marriage Commissioners
This unit monitors the rules for Marriage and registers clergy and marriage commissions to perform marriages. Marriage commissioners perform civil ceremonies. Marriage commissioners must be registered with the Marriage Unit of Saskatchewan Justice.
- Office of the Fire Commissioner
The Office of the Fire Commissioner provides Saskatchewan communities with information, education and leadership to enhance their capabilities to protect people, property and the environment from the devastation of fire.
- Queen's Printer
The Office of the Queen's Printer publishes and distributes the authoritative versions of all Government of Saskatchewan legislation, regulations and other legislative publications. Queen's Printer is also responsible for the administration of the Saskatchewan Publications Centre.
- Safe Driving Program
The safe driving program is a mandatory, province-wide program aimed at reducing the number of alcohol-related traffic accidents, injuries and deaths. The program provides addiction screening, assessment and treatment services for people convicted of alcohol-related driving offences.
- Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods
Empowers citizens to take back their neighbourhoods by reporting problem residences and businesses. Also holds property owners accountable for threatening or disturbing activities regularly taking place on their property.
- Saskatchewan Building and Accessibility Standards Appeal Board
The Saskatchewan Building and Accessibility Standards Appeal Board hears appeals from building owners regarding the application of the accessibility standards, and orders issued by building officials for compliance with the building and accessibility standards.
- Saskatchewan Gazette
The Saskatchewan Gazette is published weekly in three parts. Part I contains official government notices, orders in council, and private notices required to be published by statute. Parts II and III contain the official versions of regulations as enacted.
- Specific Claims (Land)
Specific Claims arise out of a situation where a First Nation has had reserve land wrongfully or unfairly taken away by the federal government. Saskatchewan provides assistance in the transfer of land to reserve status.
- Supervised Access/Exchange Services
Social workers and trained volunteers provide the services necessary to ensure that children have access to their non-custodial parent in a safe setting.
- Support Variation Project
Assists parents with limited income who have a child support order or agreement registered in Saskatchewan and who want to vary that order or agreement.
- Treaty Land Entitlement
Treaty Land Entitlement is a process whereby the federal and provincial governments are fulfilling commitments to resolve outstanding Treaty land entitlement claims with First Nations. The TLE process exists because in some instances First Nations did not receive the land that was promised to them in the Treaties.
- Victim Impact Statements
Anyone who is a victim of a reported crime can complete a Victim Impact Statement. A Victim Impact Statement provides an opportunity to tell the court how a crime has affected the victim and those around them.
- Victims Services Program
The Victims Services program improves the justice system's response to victims of crime by increasing public and professional understanding of victims' needs and by funding or delivering services to meet these needs.
- Vital Statistics
The Vital Statistics Office administers and maintains a province-wide system for registering births, deaths, marriages, stillbirths and changes of name that occur in the province of Saskatchewan.
