Health Professions Category
Health occupation applicants whose education and professional
certification qualify for employment in Saskatchewan in a skilled
health occupation are eligible to apply under this category.
Temporary foreign workers in Saskatchewan under HRSDC's Live-in
Caregivers Program and individuals in unskilled health occupations
are not eligible under this category of the SINP.
Under the Health Professions Category, there are three sub-categories,
namely, Physicians Category, Nurses Category, and Other Health
Professions Category. The SINP may nominate eligible Physicians,
Nurses and other health professionals currently working in
Saskatchewan if they can meet the following essential criteria:
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Be working on a Temporary Work Permit for a minimum of
six (6) months.
- Have an offer of Permanent Employment issued by a Saskatchewan
Regional Health Authority, the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency,
other health employers, or a job in an occupation regulated
by Saskatchewan Health.
- Be supported by the appropriate licensing body indicating
the applicant has an unrestricted license to practice in
the field (if applicable).
- Be supported by Saskatchewan Health.
- Be supported by the Regional Health Authority where the
applicant is employed.
