NI 81-107 Independent Review Committee for Investment Funds comes into force on November 1, 2006

 The Securities Commission (Adoption of National Instruments) Amendment Regulations, 2006 (No. 2) come into force on November 1, 2006.  The regulations adopt National Instrument 81-107  Independent Review Committee for Investment Funds. 

NI 81-107 is an independent oversight regime that applies to all publicly offered investment funds and provides for the independent review and oversight of the conflicts faced by the fund manager in operation of the investment fund.    

The Commission regulations also make consequential amendments to the following instruments:

·         National Instrument  81-101 National Instrument 81-101 Mutual Fund Prospectus Disclosure, Form 81-101F1Contents of Simplified Prospectus, Form 81-101F2 Contents of Annual Information For Rights Offerings,
 

·         National Instrument 81-102 Mutual Funds and Companion Policy 81-102CP Mutual Funds ;

·         National Instrument 81-106 Investment Fund Continuous Disclosure and Form 81-106F1Contents of Annual and Interim Management Report of Fund Performance;

·         National Instrument 13-101 System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval (SEDAR); and

·         National Instrument 81-104 Commodity Pools.
