Health Registration
registers new residents of the province for coverage
and maintains the registry of all residents who are
eligible for benefits.
The branch
also issues a health services card to individuals once
you are approved for benefits. The card is a valuable
personal identification document and is required for
presentation when you need health services.

and maintains a province-wide system for registering
births, deaths, marriages, stillbirths, divorces,
adoptions and changes of name that occur in Saskatchewan
- issues
certificates as legal proof of these events
- publishes
extensive statistical information for other agencies
and the public
- works
closely with
- local
registrars, most of them municipal secretaries
and town/city clerks who regularly report births
and deaths
- clergy
and marriage commissioners who report weddings
- courts
who report divorces and adoptions
- shares
information with Statistics Canada for compiling national
vital statistics.
