Retail Council of Canada Supports Improvements to Temporary Foreign Worker Program
Vancouver, November 15, 2006 – Retail Council of Canada strongly supports improvements to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, announced today by the Honourable Monte Solberg, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration and the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Canada. Improvements to this program will assist retailers in Alberta and British Columbia by streamlining the process, timing and costs to hire foreign workers, where there are no Canadians available to fill vacant management positions.
