What's New for 2006-2007 Loan Year

Refer to the Helpful Tips provided on this year's application along with the Instruction Guide to help you fill out the student loan application.
  • Inclusion of Consent to Release Information Form in Application Package
The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act regulates all personal information compiled by the Government of Saskatchewan and all of its related agencies. This Act protects the privacy of individuals by regulating the collection, use and disclosure of personal information held by the provincial government. To protect your privacy, we will not release information to a third party such as your parents or spouse unless we receive your written consent through the Consent to Release Information form.

Two copies of this form have been provided in the application package: one to be directed to Student Financial Assistance Branch (SFAB) along with your application form and the other when your school has confirmed enrolment and you submit your Student Loan Agreement to the appropriate division of the National Student Loans Service Centre.
  • For students applying for student loans that have dependent children, full benefits will be provided for children who are declared on the student's Health Record Services card. Information provided on the application will be verified with the Department of Health.
