Biodiesel Development Task Force

VISION

"Development of a sustainable biodiesel industry in Saskatchewan based on renewable biomass and a core industry around which to develop products that can be used domestically and exported competitively to support economic and climate change objectives. Core values around the start and development of the Saskatchewan biodiesel industry are biased towards rural Saskatchewan providing an equitable share of benefits to primary producers."

The recommendations will assist in developing policy, incentives, and an action plan for the successful implementation of a biodiesel industry. This will include continued negotiations with the federal government on developing the Renewable Fuels Policy and mandates for ethanol and biodiesel, while recognizing Saskatchewan as a major contributor to this opportunity.
