The Century Family Farm Award
The Award:
To honour Saskatchewan's farm families and their role in the development of the province, Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food (SAF) introduced the Century Family Farm Award Program in 1981. Award Criteria: Farms are eligible for the award if members of the same family have farmed the land continuously for 100 years or more. Applicants are eligible for one award per family. The family must have owned and operated a century farm unit continuously for one hundred years or more. A written history of family ownership of the land must be provided and/or reasonable proof or other verifying information should be included with the application. The family must live in Saskatchewan and continue to operate the farm. Options for the Award

Applicants may receive Century
Family Farm Certificate(s) in addition to the award, which Research Responsibility: Applicants are responsible for all research and supporting documentation. A written history of family ownership must be provided. The application will not be processed without documentation. Please do not send original documents with your application. Send only photocopies, as these copies will be filed with your application form. Allow three to four months for processing when planning celebrations for the Century Family Farm Award. Rush applications will not be accepted.
