Public Accounts
Following the end of each fiscal year (March 31), the Government of Saskatchewan prepares the Public Accounts which are published in two volumes. A Financial Statements - Compendium is also compiled.

VOLUME 1

  • The General Revenue Fund financial statements. All public money is paid into the General Revenue Fund except where the Legislative Assembly has directed otherwise.
  • The Fiscal Stabilization Fund statement. Established April 1, 2000, the purpose of the Fiscal Stabilization Fund is to stabilize the fiscal position of the Government to facilitate long-term planning.
  • The Summary financial statements. These provide a full accounting of the financial affairs and resources of the following:
    • the General Revenue Fund;
    • Crown corporations; and,
    • agencies, boards, and commissions.
  • Details of Debentures.

VOLUME 2

Volume 2 provides detailed information on specific financial transactions within the General Revenue Fund.

FINANCIAL STATEMENTS - COMPENDIUM

A compendium is prepared that is comprised of the financial statements of various boards, agencies, commissions, superannuation funds, special purpose funds and institutions as well as those Crown corporations which are accountable to the Treasury Board.
