Harry Van Mulligen was born in the Netherlands and
immigrated to Canada with his parents at age nine. He was raised and
educated in Brandon, Manitoba and moved to Saskatchewan in 1974.
Mr. Van Mulligen has served on the Regina City Council, on the Board of
Regina’s Market Square and as a Regina General Hospital Governor.
He was first elected as a member of the Saskatchewan Legislature in 1986
re-elected in 1991, 1995, 1999 and again in 2003.
On February 3, 2006 Harry Van Mulligen was appointed Minister of
Government Relations. He previously served as Minister of Finance,
Minister Responsible for SaskEnergy, Government House Leader, Minister
of Social Services, Minister Responsible for Disability Issues and as
Minister Responsible for Seniors. He has also served the Legislature as
Chair of the Public Accounts Committee and as Chair of the Crown
Corporations Committee.
Mr. Van Mulligen currently resides with his family in Regina.
