TEMPORARY ORDER AGAINST PORTUS ALTERNATIVE ASSET MANAGEMENT INC.
The Securities Division of the Saskatchewan Financial Services Commission has issued a temporary order against Portus Alternative Management Inc. The order immediately prohibits the company from opening any new accounts for investors in Saskatchewan or from accepting any new funds or other assets for investment from its current Saskatchewan clients. "The Securities Division made the temporary order in the public interest due to apparent irregularities in the sales practices and the record keeping by Portus." It imposes terms and conditions on the company's registration in Saskatchewan and was issued on Feb. 4th, 2005.
