3, 2006 - "Multilateral
Framework for Labour Market Agreements
for Persons with Disabilities: Saskatchewan
Report 2005-2006" This
report describes programs, service and
expenditures for improving the employment
situation of people with disabilities
during the last year. Four provincial
departments Community Resources,
Health, Learning and Government Relations
deliver the programs and services
described in the report, which are cost
shared with the federal government. The report shows that persons with disabilities in Saskatchewan have slightly better employment rates than the Canadian average.

Support for People with Cognitive Disabilities
- The Saskatchewan government has released
a strategy and comprehensive set of
initiatives aimed at helping children
and youth with cognitive disabilities,
including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
(FASD), live more independently. For

Moving Forward:
Governments of Canada and Saskatchewan
sign an agreement on Early Learning
and Child Care (April 29, 2005 News
Release) - Historic Signing - On Friday,
April 29, 2005, the governments of Saskatchewan
and Canada signed a bilateral agreement
in principle to enhance early learning
and child care in Saskatchewan. The
Federal government will provide Saskatchewan
with $22 million in 2005/06 and the
province will develop a made-in-Saskatchewan
plan that is based on the Federal framework.
