Making it Work: A Saskatchewan Perspective on Climate Change Policy - October 2002 (PDF) Saskatchewan recognizes that climate change is a serious environmental issue that must be addressed.  With this in mind, Saskatchewan has established a climate change program that is undertaking projects in several major areas.

Idling Awareness Last modified: December 18, 2006
Saskatchewan Environment in partnership with Climate Change Saskatchewan has launched a provincial vehicle idling awareness campaign supported by Natural Resources Canada.  The aim is to encourage all drivers to reduce unnecessary vehicle idling in an attempt to reduce air pollution and reduce emissions that contribute to climate change. 

Climate Change Action Fund Last modified: December 18, 2006
The Climate Change Action Fund (CCAF) was established by the federal government in 1998 to help Canada meet the commitments it made in December 1997 at the Third Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Kyoto, Japan. The Fund was renewed in Budget 2000.

Climate Change Indicators Initiative (Remote Site)
The Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) established an intergovernmental task group to provide Canadians with information on how Canada's Climate has changed and how changes may be affecting nature and people.  Climate, Nature, People: Indicators of Canada’s Changing Climate describes changes to Canada’s climate during the 20th century and to 12 climate change indicators. 

Climate Change Saskatchewan (Remote Site)
Addressing the challenges that climate change poses to Saskatchewan's economy, environment and people, this web site is designed to build awareness and understanding of climate change impacts, motivate individuals to action and develop public support for policy changes geared towards reducing emissions.

Prairie Adaptation Research Collaborative (Remote Site) Remote Site
The Prairie Adaptation Research Collaborative is a facilitative, interdisciplinary research network established to understand the potential impacts of climate change on the Canadian Prairie Provinces and conduct research necessary to develop appropriate adaptation strategies.

The Prairie Adaptation Network is a clearinghouse for climatic impact, adaptation and mitigation information providing a focus for developing and performing climatic impact and adaptation projects.
