The document above contains information on Saskatchewan Environment's Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) Management Program for 2006, including details on where CWD permits are available, where to hunt, and what is required from hunters who harvest an animal. The CWD Hunter's Information Sheet provides summary information on the 2006 CWD Management Program, including listings for Herd Reduction Areas, details on season dates and hunting regulations, where to obtain CWD Control Permits and where you can submit heads for testing.

Total Heads Submitted: 4132
As of January 2, 2007, hunters have turned in 1621 heads from white-tailed deer; 2399 heads from mule deer and 112 elk heads to test for CWD.

So far 2308 heads have been tested with 26 positive results for CWD.
