Big Game Draw Application, draw result and application for Anterless Mule Deer Licences Last modified: May 2, 2006

Who’s Eligible:

  • Only Saskatchewan residents, permanent members of the Armed Forces and R.C.M.P. who are stationed and living in the province.
  • Applicants must be 12 years of age or older when applying.
  • All applicants under 18 years of age and all first time hunters must be a graduate of a Firearm Safety/Hunter Education course before applying.

Persons whose hunting rights are restricted for either a Wildlife Act conviction or a firearm are not eligible to apply. This page will also allow hunters to view Big Game Draw results, including the zone drawn, pool status.

Saskatchewan Association for Firearm Education (Remote Site)
Home of the Saskatchewan Hunter Education Program.  A non-profit association of volunteer instructors with a common purpose of promoting safe, ethical hunting as a way of life and the shooting sports as safe, worthwhile forms of recreation.  
 
Saskatchewan Fur Program  
The trapping industry in Saskatchewan includes over 3000 registered trappers and generates approximately $1.81 million in revenue annually through raw fur sales. Fur species are a renewable resource and many trappers depend on raw fur sales to supplement their annual income. Proper conservation management and humane use will ensure the long-term sustainability of the resource and the trapping industry.

A new regulation has been implemented which affects existing tree stands or blinds used for any purpose, including spring and fall hunting seasons.  This regulation is designed to remove permanent structures while still allowing the annual use of temporary tree stands.
