Saskatchewan is an exporting province. Saskatchewan's economy is linked to the global market, and international trade is a vital part of our economic activity.
According to Saskatchewan's State of Trade report, in 2003, Saskatchewan's total exports (international and interprovincial) were equal to 65% of the province's gross domestic product, compared to only 54% in 1980.
