This department provides entrepreneurs, small businesses, co-operatives, organizations and communities with services and advice that focus on business information, opportunities, business retention and expansion, and strategic partnerships.
Community Economic Development is a community development process that focuses on wealth creation, job creation, and enhanced community viability. RECD's Regional Programs and Services Branch works towards identifying economic development partners and assisting them to leverage resources and pursue opportunities to enhance wealth and job creation in the province.
With a co-operative history that began before the turn of the 20th century, Saskatchewan now has 1,300 co-ops providing a diverse variety of goods and services.

Through the ABSN, Aboriginal entrepreneurs have access to the information and resources on a wide range of business topics. The ABSN provides the Aboriginal business community with a wide range of information on government services, programs and regulations. The service is supported through the Canada-Saskatchewan Business Service Centre and is provided free of charge.
Canada Business is a government information service for businesses and start-up entrepreneurs in Canada. Canada Business reduces the complexity and burden of dealing with various levels of government by serving as a single point of access for federal and provincial/territorial government services, programs and regulatory requirements for business.
