Community Economic Development is a community development process that focuses on wealth creation, job creation, and enhanced community viability. RECD's Regional Programs and Services Branch works towards identifying economic development partners and assisting them to leverage resources and pursue opportunities to enhance wealth and job creation in the province.

With a co-operative history that began before the turn of the 20th century, Saskatchewan now has 1,300 co-ops providing a diverse variety of goods and services.

The SBLA Program encourages diversification of the Saskatchewan economy and supports community economic development by making funding available, through community-run organizations, to non-traditional entrepreneurs.

The CSBSC is the hub of the government's single-window network, providing people with accurate, timely and user-friendly information to help them make sound business decisions.

Through the ABSN, Aboriginal entrepreneurs have access to the information and resources on a wide range of business topics. The ABSN provides the Aboriginal business community with a wide range of information on government services, programs and regulations. The service is supported through the Canada-Saskatchewan Business Service Centre and is provided free of charge.

Canada Business is a government information service for businesses and start-up entrepreneurs in Canada. Canada Business reduces the complexity and burden of dealing with various levels of government by serving as a single point of access for federal and provincial/territorial government services, programs and regulatory requirements for business.

In every corner of the world, Canada establishes trade agreements to provide access to markets for our goods and services, while supporting trade with the developing world. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT) has developed the Trade Negotiations and Agreements site to provide information on its work in this area.
