Transport Canada and Canadian Safe Boating Council
to Launch Safe Boating Awareness Week with a Splash!
Brian Jean, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Transport,
Infrastructure and Communities on behalf of Lawrence Cannon, Minister of
Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, and the Canadian Safe Boating Council
will nationally launch Safe Boating Awareness Week at Britannia Yacht Club in
Ottawa on Friday May 19.
There will be a photo opportunity with a demonstration of how recreational
boaters can meet Transport Canada’s pleasure craft requirements – and stay safe
– during the 2006 boating season.
