TRANSFER OF MANITOBA RAIL LINE
TO FIRST NATIONS COMPANY

Media representatives are invited to attend an event celebrating the transfer of a northern Manitoba railway line to Keewatin Railway Company, jointly owned by three Manitoba First Nations.

Brian Jean, Parliamentary Secretary to Lawrence Cannon, Federal Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, will be joined at the event by Ron Lemieux, Minister of Transportation and Government Services Manitoba; Chief Pascall Bighetty, President of Keewatin Railway Company; Michael Woelcke, Director, Customer Experience at VIA Rail Canada, and Tony Fortino, General Manager of Hudson Bay Railway Company.
