TRANSPORT CANADA ADVISES
AGAINST USING WATER TOYS FOR BOATING
Transport
Canada is advising Canadians not to use inflatable self-propelled water toys for
boating.
Inflatable
self-propelled water toys, if used at a beach by children, should only be
operated
- in shallow
waters where the operator can wade; and
- under adult
supervision.
Any other
use of this device may result in a significant hazard for the user(s) and may be
subject to fines and prosecution.
Detailed
information about pleasure craft requirements can be found in Transport Canada’s
Safe Boating
Guide.
