Minister Cannon to announce funding for rail and urban transit security in
six
urban centres
The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and
Communities will announce National funding recipients for the first round of
Transit-Secure, the Government of Canada’s rail and urban transit security
contribution program. The program will help rail and urban transit operators
further enhance their security measures and be better equipped to address
potential threats of terrorism.
