(January 19, 2007) - The Canadian Embassy in Rome today announced that the services provided by Canada's Consulate General in Milan will be transferred to the Embassy in Rome. The Consulate General will be closed to the public as of March 31, 2007.

The Whitehorse 2007 Canada Winter Games are a major undertaking. In fact, these games will be the biggest event ever staged in Canada north of the 60th parallel. The Games will run for two weeks from February 23rd to March 10th, 2007. Over 3,600 athletes, coaches and managers will gather in Whitehorse to compete for a total of 1,122 medals in 22 sports.
