IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
As of 1 November 2006, the Immigration Section of the Canadian Embassy will no longer be directly accepting cash payments for visa services. Persons wishing to pay cash for visa services must pay at one of the three participating branches of ProCredit Bank according to the attached instructions. Applications will be accepted at the Embassy only upon presentation of the appropriate Payment Voucher from the bank.
The Embassy will continue to accept direct payment made by bank draft, certified cheque, or money order in Canadian or US dollars made out to the Receiver General for Canada.
Important Notice: Fee Changes for Embassy Services
Due to changes in currency exchange rates, new fees in U.S. Dollars and Ukrainian Hryvnias have been established for services provided by the Embassy. These new rates will be effective as of June 2, 2006. The fees in Canadian dollars will remain unchanged.

Perimeter Institute Opportunity for International Students and Teachers
The Perimeter Institute, dedicated to research in theoretical physics, offers two of their summer outreach programs dedicated to high school students and teachers (see below for more information). The week-long programs cover all of the participants' costs once they arrive in Toronto (participants must pay only the cost of the flight).

Call for Entries -Banff World Television Festival Awards
The campaign for program competition entries at the 28th Banff World Television Festival (BWTVF) is officially underway with a couple of exciting changes from previous years.
For the first time ever, the competition features a category for Telenovela & Drama Serial Programs.
In addition, the international program competition now includes three interactive categories. A “Rockie” will be awarded to “Best Mobile Program Enhancement”, “Best Internet Program Enhancement” and “Best Internet Only Production Program”.
