CANADIAN COMMERCIAL CORPORATION</span></span></p>

<p>International Trade Minister Jim Peterson today confirmed the appointment of John
McBride as President of the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC). Mr. McBride’s
appointment had been referred to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and
International Trade.</p>

<p>“I look forward to working with John McBride to grow Canada’s export business in public
markets around the world,” said Minister Peterson. “The CCC is increasingly playing the
role of catalyst in achieving export success for Canadian businesses, and will greatly
benefit from Mr. McBride’s understanding of international trade and experience in
financial and risk management.”</p>

<p>Mr. McBride brings to the position over 20 years of experience in the Public Service.
Prior to this appointment, he was Assistant Deputy Minister, Operations Sector, Industry
Canada. He has held various positions of responsibility with the Treasury Board
Secretariat, Finance Canada and the Privy Council Office, as well as the Australian
federal government.</p>

<p>Established in 1946, the CCC is a Crown corporation that specializes in international
procurement markets for Canadian exporters and delivers contracting services to help
them win export sales.</p>
