Mr. McBride&#8217;s appointment had been referred to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade.</p> <br> <p>&#8220;I look forward to working with John McBride to grow Canada&#8217;s export business in public markets around the world,&#8221; said Minister Peterson. &#8220;The CCC is increasingly playing the role of catalyst in achieving export success for Canadian businesses, and will greatly benefit from Mr. McBride&#8217;s understanding of international trade and experience in financial and risk management.&#8221;</p> <br> <p>Mr. McBride brings to the position over 20 years of experience in the Public Service. Prior to this appointment, he was Assistant Deputy Minister, Operations Sector, Industry Canada.
