landslide that occurred on Leyte Island in the Philippines:</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: 'Arial', sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 12pt">“On behalf of all Canadians, I wish to offer my deepest condolences on the tragic loss
of life caused by the February 17 landslides. Our thoughts are with the suffering
families.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: 'Arial', sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 12pt">“Canada stands ready to assist the government and people of the Philippines.</span></span></p>

instructed Canadian officials to continue monitoring the situation and to provide
emergency consular assistance in the area.”</span></span></p>
