Canada Opportunities Agency, today announced the appointment of
Dr. John H. McArthur as Chairman of the Board, Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada. </span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: 'Arial', sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 12pt">“I am pleased to confirm Dr. McArthur as the Chairman of the Board of the Asia Pacific
Foundation of Canada. Dr. McArthur has served as interim Chair since November 22,
2005, and will continue to provide the Foundation with the outstanding leadership that
he has already demonstrated.” </span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: 'Arial', sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 12pt">The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is an independent, not-for-profit think tank on
Canada’s relations with Asia. The Foundation functions as a knowledge broker, bringing

<p><span style="font-family: 'Arial', sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 12pt"><span style="color: #000000"><span style="font-weight: bold">Dr. John H. McArthur </span>was appointed Interim Chairman of the Board of Directors of the
Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada in November 2005. He previously served as Dean of
the Faculty, Harvard University Graduate School of Business, from 1980-1995, and
since 1996 as Senior Advisor to the President of The World Bank. A native of
Vancouver, British Columbia, Dr. McArthur completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree
in Forestry from the University of British Columbia before earning a doctorate in
business administration from Harvard Business School in 1963.</span></span></span></p>
