Exciting Environment?

The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) advises the Canadian government on foreign policy and international trade matters and acts on Canada's behalf in some 120 missions abroad. To carry out its work, the Department operates one of the largest and diverse international client-server networks in the world, earning its reputation among OECD countries as a leader in information technology and telecommunications.

As we move towards the 21st century, DFAIT is evolving through the use of new and exciting technologies. Renewing our IMT infrastructure from the ground up, we plan to install the latest in communication and collaboration tools to enable our staff to deliver programs and analysis in a highly competitive global environment.

To do this successfully, the Information Management and Technology Bureau at DFAIT -- responsible for providing information and technology management services to help achieve departmental objectives -- is actively recruiting talented, energetic, and creative information and technology management professionals at all levels.
