In 1979, he joined the Ministry of State for Economic and Regional Development as a policy analyst. In 1983, he became Director General, Aerospace and Defence, at Industry Canada, a position he held until 1989. From 1990 to 1994, he served as Director General, Resource Processing Industries Branch. In 1995-96 he served as Director General and Manager, Forest Industries and Building Products, and Functional Adviser for Trade. Since 1996, Mr. Delvecchio has been Executive Director of Investment Partnerships Canada, a joint venture of Industry Canada and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade with a mandate to attract, retain and expand foreign investment in Canada. He is married to Rosemary Delvecchio and they have two children. Mr. Delvecchio succeeds John Tennant.</p> </body> </html>
