Welcome to the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) in Zimbabwe.

The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) is the principal vehicle of Canada's official development assistance around the world.

CIDA's mandate is to support sustainable development in developing countries, in order to reduce poverty and to contribute to a more secure, equitable and prosperous world. To achieve this, the programme concentrates on the following six priorities:

  • Basic human needs;
  • Women in development and gender equity
  • Infrastructure services;
  • Human rights, democracy, good governance
  • Private sector development and;
  • The environment.
