CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY - R&D; in RUSSIA / CIS

 

The International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) wishes to receive proposals

from Canada-based individuals or organizations interested in helping the ISTC recruit Canadian industry Partners who will fund research projects. Projects will be implemented by former weapons scientists in Russia and countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

 

The ISTC has issued a Request for Proposals (RFPs) and related Statement of Work (SoW) that can be found on the ISTC web site at www.istc.ru, in the Jobs section. Contract will be for one-year.

 

The SoW defines the knowledge, experience and skills required. These include significant knowledge and experience related to technology commercialization and matchmaking between Canadian organizations and Russia and the CIS.

It is anticipated that interviews of qualified applicants will commence in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada the week of September 18, 2006.

 

The ISTC is an international intergovernmental organization operating in Russia since 1992 as a non-proliferation program. The main ISTC Parties are Canada, USA, European Union, Japan and Russia. The main aim of the ISTC is to support research projects and other activities to redirect former weapons scientists (FWS) in Russia and other countries of the CIS towards sustainable, peaceful employment.
