<p>Media representatives are advised that International Trade Minister Pierre Pettigrew will visit South Africa, Nigeria and
Senegal as leader of the Canada Trade Mission from November 16 to 26.</p>
<p>On Monday, November 18, in Johannesburg, South Africa, Mr. Pettigrew will deliver an address at a plenary session. The
Minister will then attend the inauguration of the offices of Somuthwa Technologies, a joint venture with the Canadian firm
Shopplex.com. Later that evening, he is scheduled to attend a contract signing ceremony.</p>
<p>On Tuesday, November 19, in Johannesburg, Mr. Pettigrew will meet with South African Minister for Trade and Industry
Alec Erwin. Later that day, Mr. Pettigrew will deliver a keynote address at the annual general meeting of the South Africa-Canada Chamber of Business. </p>
<p>On Thursday, November 21, in Lagos, Nigeria, Mr. Pettigrew will meet with President Olusegun Obasanjo. In the evening,
he will attend a contract signing ceremony. On Friday, November 22, the Minister will meet the Governor of Lagos State,
Bola Tinubu. </p>
<p>On Saturday, November 23, in Dakar, Senegal, Mr. Pettigrew will meet with Aicha Agne Pouye, Minister for Small and
Medium-sized Entreprises and Trade. On Monday, November 25, the Minister will deliver an address at a plenary session.</p>
