<p>Media representatives are advised that Denis Paradis, Secretary of State (Latin America and Africa) (Francophonie), will
deliver closing remarks at the Journée El Colegio de México/Université de Montréal on Friday, March 22, 2002, in
Montreal. The title of his address is <em>Canada and Mexico: A Partnership for the Future</em>. The Journée is the first in an annual
series of open seminars alternating between the Université de Montréal and the Colegio de México.</p>
<p>The theme of the one-day conference is "Political Change In Mexico." Lectures and discussions will focus on the political
change that has taken place in Mexico since the July 2000 election of President Vicente Fox. </p>
