Media representatives are advised that International Trade Minister Pierre Pettigrew will be in Montreal on Tuesday, June
25, where he will welcome Gerhard Schröder, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, upon his arrival. Mr.
Pettigrew will later preside over the opening luncheon of the 8th Conférence de Montréal.
On Wednesday, June 26, the Minister will be a guest speaker at a plenary session of the Conférence de Montréal with the
theme "Rethinking Relations Between Europe and the Americas."
